The Rees animal books (original editions in 1940s-50s) were republished in a number of editions by different publishers over the next 50 years.

When I was growing up there were very few decent kids books about Australian animals but this was one of them. On re-reading I have found it less compelling but still interesting, informative and with some nice pictures. But I'm now in the position of having to downsize my library and this book is
