of a portuguese galleon and of a portuguese galley are specially interesting.
Most of the text appears in a previous (not illustrated) manuscript dated from almost three decades before: the "Livro Náutico" (Nautical Book). So both books are specially important to the study of naval vessels and technology from the heyday of the first european maritime empire which ended with the spanish domination of Portugal in 1580.
