historical nature of sex and gender issues in the 18th century, not for the great erotica read and if historical reference is what you're looking for I think you'll get a lot of this book ... that said, the book in general on a personal level isn't my cup of tea, in fact some of it was a bit too scandalous for me to continue reading through -- but, if you want all the naughty bits about what people were up to in the 18th century, then this is the book to start with -- Show Less
