This is one of the best compilations on photographic formulas I've encountered. I must know, I used this book in the darkroom developing routines for years. It shows what and step-by-step how to mix photographic developers and fixers for almost every situation. This book is a "must have" to any

One of my core references for photographic chemistry. I used it extensively for years in my improvised darkroom in order to get good quality long lasting negatives, slides and prints. The book is falling apart as a result. :-(
Includes every formula imaginable for every photographic method and

procedure from lots of experts, scholars and industrial sources. All the traditional makers are included such as Kodak, Agfa, Fuji and Ilford together with extint ones such as Pathé, Ferrania, Lumière, etc.
It 's sometimes too exhaustive in some sections and the chapters on colour processing are a little incomplete and outdated but it does include most of the basics in order to sufficiently emulate standard colour processes using home-made formulas.
An indispensable resource for serious analogue photography processing.
