Very comprehensive and even-handed bio. It's hard to find new ground here, but the author didn't disappoint.

Fab was a very enjoyable read. Howard Sounes does a great job of balancing McCartney’s mistakes and his genius, but never deifies the man. Yet at the same time he seems to like McCartney more and more as the book progresses draws the reader into a shared and honest admiration.

I've ready so many bios about the boys that this one was really nothing new :/ Ah well! I guess there's a limit to everything!
