P2 Boys
The main character is male.
This is one of the most imaganive reworking of the cinderela story I have ever come across. The casing of the main character as a boy is genious and he manages to carry this off. He does not go to a ball - he goes to the football. he does not dance with the prince

- he scores the winning goal. The glass sliper is a football boot. at the end he does not marry the prince and forgive his sisters he gets signed up the team earning lots of money and gives his step brothers season tickets.
They even manage to avoid using my pet hate in this series of speach bubbles in the illustrations.
This book is not only for the younger boys but also for the older readers with difficulties who will find this ammusing
