GENRE: This is a great example of realistic fiction, because the author creates a story that is true to the everyday occurrences of one's life. The story definitely gives a new perspective to readers and introduces them to other areas of the world. The book also allows readers to compare and
SETTING: The two settings in the story are both integral settings, because they are key to the story and the story would not have the same effect, if both children were from the same part of the world. The fact that one child is from the United States and the other is from an African nation creates the plot. If both children represented the same country, students would not find the same value in reading it and the aim of the author would not be the same.

Review: such a simple but great book. The text is easy to understand. It shows students that they have more in-common with people from different country then one expects.
Uses: Can be used to make real life connection with the characters from different places using background knowledge.
