This was one of my two favorite books as a child; finding it again as an adult (I couldn't remember the name) has been delightful. While it is a children's book that educates the reader about the tiny world of ants, I loved (and still do) the idea of "big bugs" as characters in a book, and not

necessarily as the bad guys.
