The story behind Modest Mussorgsky's piano composition "Picture at an Exhibition" is here retold for children. The accompanying CD includes the entire composition on piano and then again orchestrated. Kitchel's artwork is beautiful. She included many Russian motifs, especially in the

borders.

Although a children's book, this story touches on themes of death, alcohol abuse and depression. Friendship and love are the redeeming values here, and Celenza does not omit mention of the glory of God.
