Not at all what I thought. Looks like a comprehensive bird encyclopaedia, but in reality it is just a compilation of a few of the most known birds. Very disappointing.

page is filled with high quality photos and illustrations. It is also scattered with interesting facts that grab the reader's attention. The topics range from birds origins, their physical attributes, their habits and development as well as tips on attracting and watching birds. If you could only have two books on birds, I recommend this one be one of them. (The other would of course be Roger Tory Peterson’s A Field Guide to Birds) Show Less
