I read this picture book aloud to my children. The illustrations are nice and colourful, and the book provides a good overview (without overwhelming young listeners) of various North American Indian tribes. I found the content interesting and age appropriate, and it is a good addition to our

studies concerning Native Nations!

I also remember reading this book when I was a child, and I loved it then as much as I do now!

MY RATING: 5 stars! I loved it!! Highly recommended!

This book describes many Native American tribes, describing many different traits of each tribe. Illustrations accompany each page, showing the different attire and houses of each nation. There is also a neat little map in the book that shows which pieces of land used to belong to each tribe.

thought this book was really neat. I loved all of the pictures and thought that it did a really good job of outlining some of the history of Native Americans.

In the classroom, I would use this book when talking about American history. It would be great to go along with a history lesson.
One history lesson would be when the English came to America and took over.
Another History lesson this would be greatly accompany would be when the U.S. government made the Indians move to the Great Plains because they wanted all of their land.
