Perfect Bedtime Reading: If you're a parent who likes to read to your children this is an ideal book. You can tell Jones has children of his own because he has written a book perfectly suited for reading aloud. The chapters are all quite short and each one is an individual tale within itself, which

makes it an excellent book to read to your children at bedtime. It is also quite an entertaining book. My son loves history and is interested in Vikings so this book was a big hit with him.

I think I read this back in junior school and remember really enjoying it. It is one I've always thought about since but could never remember the title or author. As a kid I was never really good at remembering those. I just wanted to read the thing - who cared who wrote it or what the title is!

The book proves that it is possible to write a book with multi-generational appeal. read it to your kids, and they will enjoy it, especially if they can see the pictures. Read it to your parents, and they may laugh without the pictures. Given the current rage for super hero movies, I'm sure that

the older VCRs of this title may have renewed interest. Especially as the current Marvel Comics cash-in may be waning. A good book.

My parents got this book for me for Christmas around the age of ten. They read it aloud to me. I just finished reading it to a child in my life.

The subtext morals of the stories are quite excellent; not that at all of modern Western cosmology. The tales couldn't be more fantastic.

A faux Viking saga, in which the wicked treachery of the Old Man of the Sea, the beguiling evil of the Enchantress of the Fjord, the ruthless and cold-blooded fury of the Dogfighters, and the challenge of Death are among the hazardous encounters facing Erik the Viking.
