Local notes
Quarter bound in publisher's navy blue cloth over printed boards, gilt lettering on spine. Generously illustrated with B&W woodcuts by Robert Gibbings. This edition was originally created for the members of the Limited Editions Club by the Golden Cockerel Press in London. Gibbings designed nearly one hundred wood blocks to create engravings on the title page, as head and tailpieces, and decoration on every page. The type used is Perpetua, designed by Eric Gill.
