do they have the same lifespan as humans, are they born with the human as a kind of soul and separate from them and take on an animal form, etc. etc. What about in intimate moments? I shall have to read the Book of Dust again as I can't remember if Lyra was already accompanied by Pan when she was rescued as a baby. Show Less
