Fiction. Literature. Romance. HTML: Stuck with her off-limits, taciturn, hunky movie star client during a sudden snowstorm on Christmas Eve, an extremely capable and highly professional bodyguard must keep him alive and warm without letting the tension building between them get too hot. Until she shows up at his studio meeting the next day with a completely different name. A world-wide press tour and too many late-night parties later, Beth simply needs to get through a short, one-day visit during the Christmas holiday, and then she'll be free of Cyrus Malcom's confusing hot looks and cold shoulders for good. I pretty much love all Ms. Reid's books, so no surprise that I read right through Drama King. I don't generally like Hollywood/bodyguard tropes, but Cyrus and Beth are so likable that I was sucked right in. I worried at first that Cyrus was going to be the Texan Marvelized leading man, all alpha

I wasn't crazy about their meet-cute so I'll give this a 4 1/2 stars but otherwise, it's a great read and romance with enough heat and genuine caring to be believable.

Liked not loved this one from one of my go to authors. It was the characters, I just didn't like or care for them much and didn't get invested in them as I usually do with Penny Reids books. One character was a spoiled movie star that put his security team in danger with his dumb actions, the

second was one of his security detail. She was ridged, obsessed with her rules, and assumed she wasn't doing the right thing all too often. She just got on my second to last nerve with all her self doubting, and the way she couldn't make eye contact so she stared at his chin ? Oh and could they ever talk openly ? No, it was all in their heads, or discussed with others ?!? I loved the last two chapters, where the head games ended.
