Malory's compilation of romance tales about the legendary King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, and the Knights of the Round Table. The book interprets existing French and English stories about these figures, with some of Malory's own original material (the Gareth story).

Three volumes comprising The Tale of King Arthur; Sir Tristam de Lyonesse; and The Morte D'Arthur. The text is based on the Winchester manuscript of Malory, edited by Eugene Vinaver in 1954 and revised in 1971. Illustrated by linocuts.
