Nigel and Franz hardly show up at all. Otto has been captured by Trent and taken over by Overlord with the help of Animus fluid, but his friends manage to rescue him and restore him to himself. HIVEmind also returns in this novel. The ending is a lead-in to the 6th (final?) book. Show Less
