Summary: This children's book is an informational text about the human body and all its functions. Each page of this book talks about a different part of the body from organs, to muscles and bones, to skin and hair. The fun thing about this book is on every page along with pictures and descriptions

there is a Ripley's believe it or not fact related to that part of the human body. This book teaches children what they need to know with a slight twist for fun.

Argument: I really enjoyed reading this informational text and felt it was a great read for young children for many reasons. First, on each page their is a picture of the body part or organ that is being discussed and the body part is also labeled with correct names and placement of words. I like how there are arrows pointing to areas in the heart for the flow of blood and how each bone in the human body is labeled from the head to the toes. The second reason I enjoyed this book is because of the (scary, funny, weird) Ripley's Believe it or Not fact that is on every page related to that part of the body. For example, on the page about muscles there is a man who is able to balance a 353 pound car on his head for 33 seconds without any form of help. The last reason I enjoyed this book was for its colorful pages, crazy text, and mish mosh of facts on each page. Each page is arranged like a collage with pictures and words randomly placed everywhere on the page. Also, the text on each page comes in wacky fonts and different shapes and sizes grabbing the reader's attention.
The main theme of this book is to teach children about the human body and its many functions. It shows children the names of parts and what they do while also giving them some fun facts that keep their attention and get them more interested in the subject.
