Ten Sly Piranhas is a favorite to introduce and to supplement the concept of counting. I would definitely use this book in any K-1 classroom. The story is simple, yet silly and mischievous. This recipe is sure to create a favorite. The illustrations are colorful, interesting and engaging. Kids will

Great lesson to teach students the correct vocabulary of math. Students should use the word subtract not 'take-aways'.

Local notes

A cute backwards counting book where the piranhas slowly disappear. Kids were pleased to see the mangrove trees!
