Kevin Henkes writes short, terse books with wonderful illustrations and wry humor that appeal to grown-ups and kids -- and this Eastery candy story is no exception.

Owen loves all his Easter basket treats, loves to eat them that is. All except the yellow marshmallow chick that is the color of his fuzzy blanket. This story & the chick both have a happy ending. Good for emerging readers.

Cute story that most little children would enjoy coupled with Henkes iconic illustrations. It ended a bit abruptly, but it's still good.

This book would be good for starting readers because of the repetition in the story. I think students will like this book because of the repetition.
