Great book from the collection of the Berenstain Bears! It tells the story of the bear families routine check up which includes common check-up procedures and a booster shot. The bears are brave, but it helps assure that not just children can be afraid, when it comes Papa Bears time. Informational

This book presents visiting the doctor in a nonthreatening way. It shows some of the things that happen at the doctor's office, and explains why they get shots and go to the doctor's. Of course, Papa Bear who never goes for check-ups because he "never gets sick" gets sick. Typical, Papa Bear.

I like this book because it is written in a way that children can relate to it. In the book, brother and sister ask questions about going to the doctor that real kids would ask their parents. The big idea of this book is to encourage children to not be afraid of going to the doctor.

The Berenstain Bears Go To the Doctor by Stan Berenstain is a fictional picture book that is great for young readers. I read this book at Aiken Village to the four year olds and they loved it. This picture book has great illustrations that keep the children focused about the story. The children

asked questions about going to the doctor and they told me all about their first check up. This is a great story to read to children before they go to their first check up so they know nothing bad is going to happen. I suggest this book for teachers to read to their young readers.

I grew up reading the Berenstain bears, I really enjoy that they are family oriented. They talk about events that happen in a child's life. I also enjoy these books because they are cute. I also think that if you have a child who is scared to go to the doctors to read this book to calm their nerves
