In my opinion, this is a very good book. One reason is because is it so relatable and everyone has had a similar problem of slacking off at one time or another. In the story, Brother Bear fights with his sister, forgets to unpack his lunch from his backpack, doesn’t give his parents a note from

his teacher, and gets distracted by the TV when he should be doing homework. These are all very common problems that children have on a daily basis. In addition, the illustrations are very color and fill the whole page. They are very exciting illustrations that depict the events that are occurring in the story. Lastly, the rhythm of the book is very fast paced and keeps the reader engaged throughout the book. As most Berenstain Bear books do, this book takes a common issue and presents it in an easily comprehensible and child-friendly way. The main idea of the book is that people fall behind sometimes, but it is much easier to keep up with your work than to procrastinate and have to play catch up. Show Less
