The story is slight and isn't necessarily seen to completion (i.e., the family visits an open house, but they don't make any decisions about purchasing a home), but this is still a decent title. I could see it being especially useful for families who are in the beginning process of moving as a tool to talk to their children about what might be happening in their situation as well.
The illustrations are fine, although I do find it a bit disappointing that there are no people of color in the book. Granted, there aren't many characters in the book, but at the very least the real estate agent shouldn't be the same exact shade as the Bedelia family.
