"I Love You Mommy," is a heartwarming story by Jillian Harker of a little bear and her mother. The author does a great job in this story of showing how sometimes children need to learn things for themselves by making mistakes and trial and error. One example of this is in the beginning of the story

when little bear wants to go fishing and her Mom says "Wait a minute, there's something you might want to know." But like a typical child, little bear runs off without listening and ends up falling into the water. This is an accurate depiction of kids today who think they know it all. Once the mother bear shows her daughter how to go fishing then little bear learns the right way. I feel that this is a great example of modeling a behavior as an effective way of learning. All in all, this is cute story where the central message is children do not always know what's best and sometimes they should listen to their parents and role models.
