I snorted and laughed my way thru this book. I think my favorite character was Petunia. She had some pretty awesome lines!

Bad Kitty School Daze by Nick Bruel is the tenth Bad Kitty book (the fourth graphic novel). Bad Kitty's attitude needs an adjustment, so her family is sending her to obedience school. Poor Puppy is going along too just for fun, and maybe to work on that drooling problem.
The school is run by a woman
But tucked into this ridiculous story of a cat in therapy, is actual advice on cat behavior and how to introduce cats to dogs and other animals.

who is a between Jackson Galaxy and a schoolmarm, with a dash of therapist for good measure. She runs a day long course where she teaches animals to get over the worst of their behavior problems. Bad Kitty, as you can imagine, doesn't want to be there. Worse yet, she seems to be stuck next to a dog who HATES cats. But tucked into this ridiculous story of a cat in therapy, is actual advice on cat behavior and how to introduce cats to dogs and other animals.

Unlike earlier "Bad Kitty" books, this is a "chapter book"... and it proved to be a long and tedious one. Had it not been for the fact that my neighbor's granddaughter was reading it to me, I'd have dropped it like a hot potato...
The premise was good, but not only did it fall flat; it was long,
Kitty & Puppy are unable to get along, so they are sent to "school"....
Kitty is to learn to be nice and puppy is to learn to stop drooling.... There are two other pets there: Petunia the Bulldog that HATES Cats (so Kitty tells her that she is a cow); and some insane, sociopathic warrior/ninja rabbit....
The kid loved it and was so happy to be able to read to me that I sat through the entire book. Thankfully I had a beer to ease my pain.

These Bad Kitty books just keep getting odder. Kitty's fighting and Puppy's and drooling get them sent to Diabla von Gloom's School for Wayward Pets. But it's less pet training than a combination of kindergarten (complete with crafts and show-and-tell) and group therapy. Petunia is also there
Kitty's relationship with the teacher -- "Miss Dee," as she likes to be called and who can talk to the animals like Dr. Dolittle -- is sort of cute but the rest is just too bizarre or goofy.
