The author compile many well known nursery rhymes to make this book. The rhyming words make studying end sounds easy. By using sections of the book, one could introduce topics like counting and rhyming as well.

This board book has classic DePaola illustrations for short Mother Goose rhymes. The collection of poems is pretty extensive; some were ones I didn't know were Mother Goose, and some i had never heard of, like, "Tickly tickly on your knee, if you laugh, you don't love me," (which is disturbing on

some levels). This would be a fun book to read aloud, although the illustrations are pretty small in some instances. For ages 3-5.
