In my opinion, this is a very sweet and heartwarming book that any reader with a loving father would enjoy. There are many reasons why I like this book. The father character is very believable. His son first describes his father as someone who does different magnificent jobs each day of the week.

However, the boy admits that this is not true, and that his father actually works in an office and wears a suit and tie each day. But the boy still thinks his father is magnificent because he is able to spend all day Saturday doing fun activities with his dad. One page reads, “He fixes pancakes for breakfast and lets me put whipped cream on top.” This bonding experience is very relatable to some students because many children spend their weekends with their fathers, who happen to have ordinary jobs during the week. This is true with my own experiences, which is another reason why I really enjoyed this book; I can relate to it. I love the illustrations of the boy and his father spending time together. The drawings are simple and contain basic colors, but they are still very effective. The simple tone in the story coordinates well with the illustrations. The language and writing are clear, organized, paced well, and flow nicely. The reader can clearly understand how much the boy worships and loves his father. I love the last line of the book, which reads, “And you know what? My dad is the most magnificent dad in the whole world. And that’s the truth.” This pushes readers to realize the importance of family and how the little things in life can make you very happy. The big idea of this story is even though a person may live an ordinary life, to their loved ones, they will always be significant. It does not matter what profession their parents have, children just want to spend time and have fun with their parents, which I believe is very important. This is a great story for students to read with their parents or guardians.

This book is about a little boy who is talking with his friend at school. The main character goes on to say all of the things his dad does for work to impress this friend and in the end, the main character just genuinely things his dad is the best.

This is a cute story about a son who embellishes what his dad does for a living. He goes on telling about the magnificent jobs he does each day. Eventually, the child admits that his stories weren't true. However, he acknowledges why he thinks his dad is magnificent. This is a great book for
