This book is very cute and informative. I love that it is a "Cat in the Hat" book because most kids are generally familiar with him. Even though this book is not exclusively only about the moon, I love the information and detail it gives children about our solar system. I would love taking this

book and having the kids make a poem about the moon, or his/her favorite planet mentioned in the book, because the book is written in a poetic form. It also gives a great glossary and index for the kids, which I believe most children's science books should include. It is a great way for the children to immediately look up the word to find out its definition.

There's No Place Like Space is a fun and simple way of learning facts about the planets. This book would be a great way to introduce learning about space in a science class. I recommend it to prek-3 grade.

This is a Dr Seuss book featuring the cat in the hat that tells about all the planets in the solar system. It goes through each planet individually and tells about them and their features
I like this book, because some kids are really interested in space, and the planets and this is a good book for
Show More
them. It has The Cat in the Hat, and also the humor of Dr Seuss but is also very informational. The kids will have so much fun reading it they won't even realize they are learing!

This book exposes young children to the understanding of the solar system based off of Dr. Seuss and his rhymes. The adventures and high times within the Solar System are included with both the main character, Sally and Max.

I enjoyed this book for the following different reasons: the plot and the illustrations. I enjoyed the plot because although there are many different aspects to discuss about space and our solar system, the author does a great job choosing the most relevant details. For example, when she discusses
Show More
the planets, she simply states where they are in relation to the sun and their characteristics. This is great for young readers because they are able to learn to most basic and important facts about the planets without becoming confused. Additionally, the illustrations in this book were incredible. There were illustrations for all of the planets, as well as other topics that the author discussed, such as astronauts and the galaxy. The overall idea of this book is to inform young readers about characteristics of space.

One of the best books in the Cat in the Hat Learning Library series. The language is authentic to Seuss and the rhymes are logical and well-executed.

Children will love this book if they are a fan of The Cat in the Hat series. It is easily engaging and makes the reader feel like they are on the wild journey with The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1, Thing 2, Dick and Sally. This book would be great to read aloud when doing a unit on space or have in a

library section for students to read on their own.

With the Cat in the Hat as our guide, we are off to visit the planets, the stars, and the sun. First, we’ll visit the eight planets in our solar system, then we’ll play a star dot-to-dot game to see the constellations. Then we’ll see our sun and Earth’s moon where we’ll learn about the
Show More
astronauts exploring there.

The Cat in the Hat has a present for us so that we will be able to look up in the sky and discover something new. What could it be?

=========

Told in rhyme, this delightful trek through the sky introduces beginning readers to the concepts of space. Targeted for the youngest readers, ages three through six, preschool through primary grades, the beloved Cat in the Hat serves as the guide as readers soar through the skies learning about the solar system, planets, star constellations, and astronauts. A glossary is included for defining words; a further reading list offers suggestions for readers interested in learning more about space.

This revised edition, part of The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library, introduces young readers to basic nonfiction. Providing a foundation upon which young readers will be able to build as they gain reading fluency, the books in this series present nonfiction in a way that is both educational and entertaining.

Highly recommended.
