In this book, George and Herold like to make comic books and mess around with the schools bulletins and signs. They also transform their principal into captain underpants(the super hero) and their teacher into Wedgie Woman (the bad guy) Later, the teacher goes and tries to destroy the town. Great

Harold and George hypnotize the teacher but don't know that the hypnotizing ring does the OPPOSITE of what you tell the person to do. They say you WON'T turn into a wedgie women, remember the opposite, later in the book the teacher does turn into a wedgie women and they start the war.

While I think that this book reinforces stereotypes about elders and authority figures/teachers as evil and hateful of children, it's just too silly and fun for me to truly care about that! This book is written very much for elementary school students. While I'm not sure it's necessary for

academia, I do think that for leisurely reads it would be an entertaining choice for children. I specifically enjoy the quote at the beginning of the book that reads, "Imagination is more important than knowledge" from Albert Einstein, because this book wildly coincides with that idea. The usage of chapters is helpful for kids learning to break books up by sections, and reading things in sequence that might not be in timely order. I also like the combination of comic strip styled illustrations and that the handwriting looks like that of a young person!

this book is hilarious and funny. I like the bit about the Wedgie Woman.

This series is not for everyone. The language in this book is what I call bathroom talk, which most children between the ages of 7-12 will find funny. It's a good read for children who are not a fan of reading.

I liked this book because it's super funny and there is a man flying in his underwear! Who wouldn't laugh at that!

Pre-sophmoric, as silly as the title but not quite able to reach really high levels of levity.
