"Wherein it is shewn from various phenomena, that the earth was first created at a period of the highest antiquity: that it was afterwards destroyed by a deluge: and, that after the deluge, it was re-peopled by a new creation of men, and other animals."

Matter eternal—not ex nihilo creation. Refutes gnostics, Basilidians, Credonians. Also Arianism--that creation was by Jesus (from Paul). God created heavens and earth an “incalculably remote” time ago.
Flood destroyed first creation. Mosaic creation: Earth and Solar System.
In the new creation, at least six (ten?) original pairs of humans for different post-Flood regions and climates, with Africans inferior to Asiatics and especially to Europeans. New animals also created.
Earth completely different after Flood. All pre-Flood inhabitants destroyed. No post-Flood species have gone extinct.

Noahic Flood theory full of problems. Ark story doesn’t account for present distribution of species and human races. Not migration (from Ark) but later creations; this explains biogeography. Heaviest strata deposited first, by gravitation sorting.

God created several different human pairs. Whites from Noah. Noah was either one of the original pairs, or perhaps an antediluvian.
Geology and fossils of Atlantic states show evidence of Flood, especially the mammoth. There were human giants also.
31: Genesis: Earth brings forth animals after their kind: “…laws of nature so constituted, that the particles of matter proper for the formation of animals did, at that eventful period, spontaneously secrete themselves and flow together, to form and organize all the variety of animals, each in its respective germs; which, being by the same laws sublimated in a due degree, burst into life.”
Different dog types created separately, though all same species; same with humans.
Noah may be progenitor of most or all whites, but unlikely that single family would be saved from Flood if there were to be new creations. Noah either antediluvian or created post-Flood.
