This book is a MUST for folks interested in polar exploration. Similar to Terra Incognita, it's a modern (female) author looking back to the great age of exploration- in this case the Andree expedition by balloon to the North Pole in 1897.
Wow! I loved it, couldn't put it down. The research that

author Bea Uusma did to get at the bottom of the expeditioners' demise (including med school) was not only thorough but presented in a way that brought the story to (my) life.
Hopefully this gets translated to english quickly! There are alot of english-speaking-polar-exploration-fans who will love this book. (And right now I'm feeling lucky to be swe-eng bilingual!)
