The Kinkster spins a good yarn -- no great shakes, but good in the spirit of Sander's McNally series or Block's Burglar series. Very enjoyable.

Another in a long line of Kinky Friedman books which are beginning to be difficult to tell apart. Elvis, Jesus and Coca-Cola has Kinky's old friend Tom Baker (the American actor, not the Dr Who star) step on a rainbow while the Kinkster is also trying to unravel the truth around an old girlfriend.

was a bit disappointed about the lack of Coca-Cola references and the plot and the humour seemed very forced. Shame; it all started so well for Friedman.
