This took me forever to finish, but it's wonderful. Some items are adapted in total, some partially; some are from stand-alone adaptations, some are done specifically for this volume. Wonderful survey of literatures and introductions to some artists you might not already know.

In this volume they cover mostly the Romantic and the Victorian Era. One of my favorite times in the Victorian literature with the sudden upraise in female writing. Loved the fact this volume included Middlemarch. Just finished that last year, so it was interesting to see it in comic book form. I

also really like the Alice in Wonderland gallery they included. So much beautiful art! The only downside to this volume, and the others, is the fact I don't like some of the samples. I really don't care for philosophical reads, political reads, or science reads. Yes they are very important, but they get boring to me.

However, it is clear I would give this entire series a 5 star read for the fact they pick some "must-read" books and for the wonderful art. But this volume again get 4 stars.
