This ebook is a nice presentation of Dore's more fanciful illustrations, but many of them are not identified as to what book they are from. The source can be known from the caption sometimes because Pantagruel or some other character is mentioned, but too many are unidentifiable unless one is

familiar with the source. It is not asking too much of a book of illustrations to properly cite the source. Dover is a reputable publisher and I never would have thought they would do something like this. Perphaps this is a failing somehow of the ebook as opposed to the print edition. This is why I am giving this book only three stars.
