An extremely good collection with a wide range of stories that pay homage rather than imitate.

A neat anthology of stories. I loved the idea of this, paying tribute to Tolkien, one of my favorite authors. Some of the stories are exuberant and fun, some are creepy, but all are well-written...

This is a collection of fantasy stories which is supposed to be a tribute to Tolkien's influence on fantasy. Many of the authors are writers whose other work I respect and/or enjoy, but my overall feeling was the stories in this book on the whole were neither very Tolkienian nor very enjoyable.
