The Guardian, by Dee Henderson, is the second book in the six book O’Malley series. It details the story of Marcus O’Malley; a US Marshall assigned to investigate the assassination of a judge about to be nominated to the Supreme Court. The O’Malley’s are a group of orphans who grew up in

Chicago and became their own family, going so far as to all adopt the same name. There are seven of these siblings, six of which get their own story. Jennifer O’Malley’s story is woven throughout the stories of the others as she struggles with a cancer battle. In this book, Marcus is faced with not only solving the mystery of the assassination and protecting the only witness; he faces his own personal struggle. In each book, the main character has some sort of discovery or crisis of faith from which they emerge stronger. I enjoyed this book and the search for the assassin kept me hooked until the end.

Wonderful book! I can't say how many times I've read it. The story never gets old. You fall in love with the characters in this book and find yourself lost when you've read the last page, because whatever book you read next will be ruined on the heels of this one. I absolutely love it!

Good book! Not my favorite O'Malley series yet but it was still good and fun to read. I would recommend it to others who have read the series, a nice fun book.

Picked a book off the shelf. Turns out it is a romance or chick Lit. Interesting that it is also a christian book. Don't love it, but will probably finish it. Will not finish it.
