night were only important in a round-about way toward the end. Falcon then meets a woman named Ann, who seems very interesting. Pages and pages are given over for them to describe each other an themselves in conversations that go like this: Question? Answer. Question? Answer. Question? Answer. In the second half of the book, we get back to the murderer, but not for long because there are still things Paul and Ann need to talk about in order for them to have a relationship.

Dee Henderson has several wonderful books, that are mentioned in this one. As if there was not a murderer to catch, or a romance to build, Paul and Ann just talked about other people's lives. I already know Kate and Dave's story! And Marcus and Shari! I want to know about yours now, please!

There were a few good points about this book, and if you love Dee Henderson, you will appreciate the references, the snappy one-liners, and the animal side kicks. If you are just starting your Dee Henderson collection, I would try to start with another book

so much about this author that I was expecting the same. The suspense was lagging. I think I would have appreciated this book more if I had read her earlier works particularly the O'Malley novels. I get to that reason later.

I found the romance part of the story was lacking and it was a big part of the book. FBI agent Paul Falcon was attracted to Ann Silver from the get go when she dropped into his office and dropped some vital information on a case he was working on. Ann Silver worked in law enforcement as a part time sheriff and also a MHI. She was close to 40 years old and very private. Unlike the typical woman she had no desire to marry or even have kids. She was happy to remain single the rest of her life. The author spent way too much time at the beginning of the book of Paul asking all her friends about her. By the time the romance started he knew just about everything about her except her secrets and she had some big ones. You will have to read the book to discover what the secrets are but the secrets are revealed in the middle of the book. Anyway the case involves a serial shooter but the shooter is female.

As I said Ann is content to be by herself but she has a life away from the crime too. She writes a series of novels called the O'Malley series and the series are based on the lives of people she has met and some of Paul's friends and relatives are featured in these books. This is the reason why I thought reading the O'Malley series would add to my enjoyment of this book. Not sure if I am going to go back and read those novels if those novels move as slowing as this one.

Just because I did not enjoy this book don't let it influence you. If you love Dee Henderson I am sure you will love this one. It just was not for me.

One of the most interesting things that Henderson did in this book was to make Ann the fictional author of all of Henderson's earlier works -- and to make those works based on Ann's friends' lives. On one hand, this is a clever device to allow characters from the O'Malley series and Henderson's other books to crop up as characters in this book, despite the fact that Ann was not a character in the earlier books. On the other hand, it does make Ann a bit of a Mary Sue. While she's not a perfect character (more on that later), she does have mad skillz as both a writer and a homicide investigator, as well as an intimate relationship with God and a talent for forming and maintaining close friendships. She comes across as a bit of a Superwoman.

Unlike Henderson's earlier books, the suspense element was dialed down several notches in Full Disclosure. I kept waiting for that edge-of-your-seat moment when the hired killer is holding a gun against one of the characters' heads . . . it never came. There's plenty of intrigue and several shocking revelations, but they're all in the past, not part of the main action of the story.

On a personal note, I also thought that the romance lacked heat. Ann is intensely private and afraid of commitment, and most of the story is told from Falcon's perspective. While he was fully involved in trying to make a romance happen, I found Ann's hesitant and standoffish attitude extremely off-putting. Other readers may not have this reaction, however.

So, the amount of criticism I'm leveling may make it seem like I didn't enjoy this book. On the contrary, it held my attention nicely. While I might have liked to see a little more romance and a little more suspense, I did enjoy the way characters from previous novels were woven into the story, and I liked the way the two major cases that Falcon was working intersected. I would recommend this to Henderson's hardcore fans -- but for those who like inspirational fiction and romantic suspense, I would recommend giving The Negotiator a try and working your way up to this book.

O'Malley books. Not that I didn't really like Full Disclosure, but from a technical standpoint, it just wasn't quite as good as it could have been. I'll get to those in a minute, but let's talk about the things I liked, first.

The main characters. Ann was great. I loved how deep her character was and how unique her personality was compared to the others around her. I was even able to relate to her a little, since I'm an introvert myself. Ann rather takes this to the extreme, but I'll let you figure that out for yourself.

Paul was pretty well done, also. I liked his connections with his family, and the way he was with his co-workers. When all is said and done, he didn't feel terribly different and memorable to me, and reminded me quite a bit of Dave from The Negotiator. Not that there's anything wrong with that, he just didn't have anything about him that stuck out to me.

The second thing I liked was the story line in general. The romance flowed along at a nice pace. The cases were interesting, if not quite as suspenseful as some of Henderson's others. A lot of the characters from her other books make an appearance here, which is an interesting addition.

The third thing I like is (and this goes for all of Henderson's books that I've read so far) the story feels natural, the characters feel real, and it's not a captive to any one specific genre. Whenever someone would ask me what I was reading, I would say: "Well, it's a Christian suspense/mystery/romance." All those elements are in there, yes, but you can't have one without the other.

Let's talk about the thing I didn't like. And that is: details. Honestly, I think this book could be fifty to a hundred pages longer and be better for it. We're not told what some characters even look like, which made it hard to remember who is who at times. I get that there are a lot of minor characters in this book, but there can be minor characters that we at least remember. Rita and Sam, for instance, were in much of the book, but since I can't picture them in my mind or remember a certain scene where they made a serious impression, I'll probably forget them in a month. Maybe that's okay and maybe I'm just being picky, but it wasn't just the characters that were missing fine details. The story also had some small threads that could have been touched on later. There's one in particular that I have in mind when I say this that would have made me laugh, but for the sake of spoilers, I won't say any more.

Overall, I loved this book because it's by one of my favorite authors, but if asked my unbiased opinion, I would say that this book lacks the polish that it could have. It's a good book, but not quite an amazing one. I hope that it gets to be amazing before its release.

Let me start off by saying I'm a hardcore Dee Henderson fan and absolutely couldn't wait for this book to come out. I enjoyed the twists the storyline took and the mystery underneath. The characters and their interactions were what I had issues with. This writing wasn't what I have come to expect after the O'Malley series and her other works. The romance really wasn't there either, it was more compatibility and determination. I will buy her next book, no matter what my feelings on this one, and just hope that old 'flare' comes back to her writing!!
This was a 3/5. Any Dee Henderson fan will want to read it but for me it just wasn't the same caliber as her other books.

First let me start by saying it's good to have Dee Henderson back. This was a good story especially if you have read her O'Malley Series and the Uncommon Heroes Series. They are brought into this story and you have a chance to meet up with some of them again. I liked the aspect of Ann being the author of those stories. I don't think I've seen that done before. It was fun seeing how this story intertwines with both of those series. One thing this story was not, was an edge-of-the-seat type suspense. There was mystery and intrigue but it wasn't the typical cat and mouse routine. No one was in immediate danger. It was more of a police procedural type story that finds you walking through solving long-standing cold cases. I must admit in some parts, that became a bit too long for me. Throughout the story you witness the slow budding romance between Ann and Paul, although I felt like Paul did most of the giving. And who would not like Ann's dog Midnight? He totally won my heart! One part of the story that intrigued me was Ann's relationship with 'Lovely'. I loved how she described it. Who is Lovely? Read the story to find out. All I know is that that aspect of the story will stay with me for awhile. If you are a Dee Henderson fan you won't want to miss Full Disclosure.

This was an excellent story! Henderson skillfully develops her characters while moving the plot along and the element of mystery kept my attention throughout the book. I received an advance reading copy which had obviously been well edited before it was published.

That said, I DID enjoy this book. I found it really fun to see all the references to Ms. Henderson's previous works and the serial murder case the leads worked was fascinating and full of twists and turns. Give it a try!

Book Review: I found this book to be a page turner of a storyline. The most interesting part was the continual tie in to the O’Malley series and the tweaking done to the names and the story lines was very cleaver it really blurred the lines between real story and book. I turned pages quickly for 2/3rd of the book than it seemed to stall for a while. I like the individual characters overall and thought that Paul and his family were fun and would like to hear more. Ann started out great was fun and lively. Than it seemed as this relationship grew she changed into a flat, unapproachable character that never quite came back to fun and lively. The image of marriage she presented and how it continued was uncompromising and unloving. Paul was great only that he allowed Ann to dictate the terms and accepted it was very weak. I often thought as I read this book how much of this was real for Dee Henderson and how much was pure imagination.
The mystery of the lady shooter was great for the most part. She was a tremendous enigma and seemed larger than life at times. I was bothered that these agents allowed so much to slip through their fingers. That seemed less likely and they did not seem as determined to catch her. As the story ended I found so many things left unanswered. That was disappointing and I would still like to know so many things. It seemed that the story just ended rather than tying up things up. I saw the twist that was coming and had been waiting for it about 2/3rd of the way into the book. Yet that too was frustrating because many details were left behind. Despite all things I will continue to read almost any book Dee Henderson writes. I think her gift is with series. I would enjoy more of the Falcon Family.

Ann Silver is a homicide investigator who drops some new leads on a "cold case" into special agent Paul Falcon's lap. It is the best lead they have had on a serial killer murder case and the agents in charge take off with it and the story just builds from there. The relationship between Paul and Ann also takes off, but this isn't your typical romance relationship. It is a tightrope Paul must walk to win Ann over.

All in all, this was a great read. I didn't know how it was going to end, I enjoyed getting to know Paul and Ann and watch their relationship grow and I really enjoyed both Paul and Ann's relationship with "Lovely". Read the book and find out who "Lovely" is; you won't be disappointed!

Henderson seemingly blurs the lines between real life and fiction. A few tongue-in-cheek references to Ann’s life appear to come straight out of the author's own, like the fact that this heroine’s written fifteen previous books, including a series entitled The O'Malleys, same as Henderson. Since Silver's fiction is about friends near and dear, one wonders about the inspiration for Henderson's own O'Malleys. But a greater question begins to loom. How much of the real-life Henderson is in the fictional Ann Silver? This larger than life story question adds a particular deliciousness to an already pleasing tale and keeps the reader turning pages, hunting for real-life clues as much as for fictional ones.

Still, the suspense of chasing and capturing an elusive serial killer is story enough. Falcon is a man’s man, a bachelor ready to alter his life with a committed, long-term relationship. Silver, however, isn’t sure love and marriage are in the cards for her. Maybe it’s her job. Maybe she’s just not cut out for them. Maybe the secrets she holds are too much of an impediment for any man. Paul must use the same wiles he uses to catch a killer to draw and not repel Ann, who is no less hard to pin down.

FULL DISCLOSURE is a riveting read, filled with suspense and twists that no matter how well the reader guesses will still come laced with surprise, one of the year’s best tales of suspense.

catch before they kill again or someone after them and are very suspenseful. This one was not one of those. These are two cops that have been cops for a while and have worked up the ladder and are portrayed more as what I would expect FBI and such who are not undercover typically do. There are some intense moments followed and preceded by lots of paperwork, waiting, thinking and analyzing. Now because of this it was a little slower reading than her usual books. But i still found it a good read.
The two main characters are trying to build a friendship and then a relationship amidst working in two different states and very demanding jobs. There was a lot they had to work through and issues they had to deal with while trying to learn each other and see if this was a relationship headed for marriage and that was nice to watch. I liked that she brought the O'Malley books into the storyline, that was nice ;)
I would recommend this if you were looking for something different with a solid romance story to it.
