week with Alexandra . . . but she has vanished. Alexandra’s agent, a photographer, and a private pilot are all desperately searching for her, but Janice and Michael soon find themselves in a race to find her first . . . someone has already been murdered and everyone fears that Alexandra will be the next to die.

The other stories, all previously published, are treats that attest to the storytelling talent of the author.

This was a masterful offering by veteran storyteller Mary Higgins Clark. This is a book of short stories, the first of which was one which the author had left unfinished for many years, finally bringing it to our attention in this volume. The book also features her first published story

"Stowaway".

Of course, the inclusion of such favorites as Alvirah and Willy Meehan, and former President Henry Britland IV and his "Girl Sunday" (his wife) Sandra, make this book extremely pleasurable to read.

I really enjoyed the stories. Usually I don't like short stories but this was a nice change.
I am a big fan of Mary Higgins Clark books and this one did not disappoint.

After nabbing this book from a cruise ship lending library, I was disappointed to find it was stories instead of a novel. The stories were excellent and compelling. Still prefer the prolonged joy of reading her full-length novels. Mary Higgins Clarke is the queen of suspense
