Mary Higgins Clark has delivered another intriguing, suspensful novel that is sure to keep many a reader up at night turning the pages. Laurie Moran is always on the lookout for her husband's murderer who has vowed to come after her and her son. All the while she is investigating a twenty-year-old

murder that has remained unsolved. This is Clark at her best.

I have been reading Mary Higgins Clark for decades, and thoroughly enjoy her suspense. Clark builds the tension of the story in a style like James Patterson, but of course, Patterson must have copied Clark. I like to vary my reading, and Clark delivers short chapter brimming with intrigue. This
Show More
story centers on an unsolved crime of 20 years ago, and a television series devoted to exploring unsolved crimes. At a graduation gala for 4 college girls, the hosting mother is suffocated, and now the suspects meet to film the story. The characters are vivid and each seems to harbor a motive for killing the beautiful Betsy Powell, but Clark interweaves a story of a murdered doctor and a killer's threat into the story. What fun!

Easy reading while on the treadmill. Predictable.

From my blog

I love Mary Higgins Clark, her books turned me into a Mystery lover, so I am a fan for life. As I was reading this one it reminded me of another book, Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot's Christmas, which I highly recommend.

A daughters mother is murdered during a Graduate Gala for her and
Show More
four friends. They live for 20 years as suspects as the murder was not solved. All coming together to clear their name.

Laurie, a TV producer has an idea to do a reality show, Unsolved Crimes and bring everyone together to reenact parts of the weekend. All of them had reasons to dislike the mother, Betsy, and were hiding secrets that can pinpoint them as the murderer but was have to figure out who.

I was able to figure out the murderer, it was fun to be right but I do prefer to be surprised.

There was an underlying mystery also going on. Laurie's husband was murdered in front of their 3 year old boy and he remembered him as "Blue Eyes killed my dad". Blue Eyes told the child your mom is next and then you. They lived in fear and Blue Eyes has decided to use the reality show filming as his next strike on the family.

I enjoyed this one, not as intricate as others and details repeated but the last 30% I was on the edge of my seat and read late into the night for the ending. I love the games and blackmailing going on with the genuine hate instead of grieving, this made the story entertaining.

Mary Higgins Clark has written some fantastic mystery books in her career. This one is very good but not in the class with some of her previous books. Its an interesting read but very predictable. The characters are very one-dimensional and several of them are very boring. If you want a good quick
Show More
read, give this book a try. If you want a mystery that will keep you guessing until the end, this is not the book to read.

Quick read, didn't require any thought...just a light, pleasant read but kept my attention.

In “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” by Mary Higgins Clark, Laurie Moran is the single mother of one little boy Timmy. Her husband was murdered and a threat was made to Timmy by the murderer that he and his mother would be next. Laurie's father retires from the police force and becomes their
Show More
protector. Laurie who is in the entertainment business persuades her boss to start a new reality series on unsolved crimes and thus begins a journey or reopening an old murder in which 4 society girls were closely involved and whose reputations were never cleared. This is a very quick read but reminders me of why I go back and read a Mary Higgins Clark, James Patterson or Sue Grafton from time to time. They are very fast, light, enjoyable but very redundant in many sections. I give it 3 stars.

Really enjoyed this story. A 20 year old unsolved murder is recreated on a reality tv series. 6 suspects under one roof could be murder.

Predictable Mary Higgins Clark, but at least I hadn't figured out who the perp was. I knew it was going to be a quick/clean ending due to the minimal number of remaining pages. At times I was confused with the number of different characters.

I've read this series out of order and it was probably a very good thing. While I enjoyed All Dressed In White immensely, this book suffers from the same overwhelming amount of characters and muddled sub-plots upon subplots that plagues The Cinderella Murder, which was quite similar in it's story
Show More
line to I've Got You Under My Skin. The book is well written, but poorly executed. It's too hard to keep up with so many suspects, each having at least two family members with an associated dysfuctional story and family drama of their own. It was just too much.

I will continue the series as the latest release installment gave me hope for next book, Sleeping Beauty Killer,.

I've Got You Under My Skin, although somewhat predictable, was quite entertaining. I enjoyed the characters, who were all very intriguing with their own secrets and doubts. The scene, background and characters were described in a way that I felt as though I was watching a movie in my head. Mary

I have read all of Mary Higgins Clark's books and this is the first time I actually figured out who done it. I enjoyed this book as much as her others and could not put it down until I finished it. It is two stories in one, one a 20 year old murder that is being investigated by a television
Show More
producer and made into a TV show and the other the murder of the producer's husband 5 years earlier and the threat by the unknown killer that she and her son would be next. Great mystery story.

Twenty years ago there was a murder at a gala celebrating the college graduation of four friends—Claire Bonner (at whose house the party was hosted), Nina Craig, Alison Schaefer, and Regina Callon. Claire’s mother, Betsy Powell is suffocated with a pillow assumedly by one of the guests at this
Show More
party, which also includes Claire’s rich stepfather Robert Powell, their sour-faced housekeeper Jane, and rich family friend George.

Laurie Moran, a failing TV producer, husband Greg was murdered several years back in the presence of her young son. Laurie has the idea to do a reality-show program where unsolved crimes are re-enacted. The first case she picks for her program is of course the case of murdered socialite, Betsy Powell. The main participants are gathered once again At the beautiful home of Rob Powell to reenact that night and uncover some answers. As the graduation party is re-visited after all this time, two things are clear: someone at the party got away with murder, and each of the people there had a reason for murdering Betsy.

There are 2 parallel mysteries going on. Who killed Betsy Powell 20 years ago and why was Laurie's husband murdered by "Blue eyes" who said Laurie would be next just before he murdered her son.

So this story had a really great concept and I liked Laurie, her crew and family. But the mystery was a huge disappointment. I had no interest in the cold case but the suspects were terrible characters and completely unlikable. The side mystery held a lot of intensity and is really what kept me
Show More
interested in the story. It was good.

I think MHC realized how unlikable the suspects were and tried to not really redeem but try to give them more reasons to like them but it was too late by then. I also felt the final scene with the “girls” and Alex/Laurie seemed very out of character for Alex. He was so professional and semi-closed off during the story that it just didn’t fit.

Jan Maxwell did fine job as narrator and I will probably continue the series.

Great introduction to a new series for me. Five years after her husband's murder, Lorie Moran makes a reality film about an unsolved case. Four women, now in their early forties, return to the scene where the landlady had been murdered twenty years earlier. At that time a prom was given for the
Show More
four women. Today the women report what happened back then because the Damascus sword that it was one of them always hangs over them. Over time, you also realize that everyone had a reason to kill the mistress.
But this is only part of the story. When Lori's husband was murdered, her little son was present. The killer promised that he would kill his mother first and then him. Lori's father, a former police commissioner, tries to protect Lori and her son. But the noose is getting tighter.
Written very exciting. I highly recommend it.

This is a whodunit soap opera-ish mystery. It did a great job of making everyone appear guilty at times and not guilty at others. Also all of the potential suspects are from the same circle so there’s lots of drama between them. They have history with each other and most of it isn’t
Show More
good. Many of them hate one another actually, and almost everyone hated the person who was killed.

Since I read these out of order, which I normally do not do, it filled in a lot of blanks for me. I don't expect a lot from Mary Higgins Clark's books so I tend to really enjoy them.
