Noooo!! This series can not be over! I've waited forever to meet Jory and finally he shows up to kick some butt and get the girl. I've been in love with the Dean boys from the beginning and can't accept the fact that Ms. Zanetti wrote that little forward and said this book wraps up the series, but
Show More
could there be a spin-off coming? Jory is just as determined as the rest of brothers to figure out the chips and save each other and with the help of Piper it actually might happen. This book wrapped up a few things, but left open so many things. Dr. Madison? The sex and name of Audrey and Nate's baby? The boys? The rest of the soldiers? There were a few times I was tearing up and needed a tissue so be forewarned.

We've been waiting and waiting and Jory's story is finally here. Piper was stubborn and a little too naive. She is a total bad ass when it comes to computers and hacking and she is working on fixing the prisoners chip problem before the deadline comes and he dies from it. Jory is strong and loyal.
He misses his brothers and is ready to escape and get back to them. The only problem is that the sexy woman that is working on his chip problem has gotten under his skin and now she's in danger and doesn't believe him.

The connection between Jory and Piper is there from the beginning, but Piper has a lot of things to work through before she gives in. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the answers we got in book 4 and the constant twists in the storyline kept me glued to the pages. I loved how the new characters (even those that seemed to not matter) fit into the storyline. There has been a major showdown in every Sin Brother book and TOTAL SURRENDER'S showdown is even better because of all that happened.

TOTAL SURRENDER was a great way to finish out the Sin Brothers series, but I am still left wanting more. There is still so much story potential and I want to see what happens next with the Dean brothers and their families. Things were left off in a way that makes me think there could be a spin-off? One can hope!

Piper and Jory

The end of the Dean Brother's series is worthy of the previous three books.

Jory has been captured by the Commander, his chip is damaged and set to kill him in one week; in walks Piper, the Commander's daughter, to save him. Jory is as Alpha as all his brothers; Piper finds his macho
Show More
"take care of the woman" actions very condescending.

A lot goes right and wrong during that week but while it's all happening Piper and Jory fall in love in that Alpha Dean way.

A great ending to a very enjoyable series!

Amazing, just like the rest of the series.

Rebecca Zanetti is a master, the books are just perfectly right. There's nothing I would want to change about the story. She just gets it right every time.

This is the story of the youngest brother, Jory. As expected, it's full of twists, action, romance and
Show More
most of all hope. I thought this would be the last book in the series, a sad thought by itself, but some twists make me hope for more books to come.

These books can't be put down, they pull me in, and in turn make my heart pound, laugh and tear up.

Absolutely loved it! I could not have imagined a better end to this great series. I was looking forward to Jory's story since Shane's book and I was not disappointed. Piper started as the weakling, but then she became this incredibly strong minded person with a huge heart. I just love when I start
Show More
a series and It ends as well as this one did.

“I love you, Piper. All of you. The smart, the sweet, the lost. Everything you are and whoever you’ll eventually become. You gave me a smile when I was in a cage, and you gave me a kiss when we were running through the woods. Now you’re giving me you, and you’re a gift I hadn’t realized

existed.” – Jory Dean

And we're, finally, at the end of the line! And wasn't that a FANTASTIC journey?! God, honestly, I never like it when I have to finish reading a series I love, and this one wasn't an exception. But I also know when a story has to come to an end, and I can't be too selfish and demand more - well, at least where the characters are concerned. And the Dean brothers have gone through so much already, it wouldn't be fair of me!

As proven in the third book, Jory is actually alive. So his older brothers set off on a crusade to save him and re-unite with him. However the youngest Dean has other plans in mind. His chip has been damaged, and can't be reached. There's no saving him - but that doesn't means he's given up on trying to save his family. And here comes Piper Oliver - sweet, kind, smart, hacker extraordinaire, and, unfortunately, someone he can't claim for his own. Piper is hired by the Commander to make sure Jory survives - and stays within his grasp. With only a handful of days left to live, the smartest of the Dean brothers will have a lot to work on if he wants to save his siblings, get free, and protect the girl from a father she doesn't realize is the most evil of them all...

I think I talk on behalf of all geek girls out there, when I say, hands down, Jory Dean is a guy I would pull into my bed, no questions asked, at the first chance I got, and then convince him somehow to become my future Baby Daddy! Ok, no, I'm not cheating on Mattie, he's after all my number one book husband, but damn, did Jory get under my skin or what? The guy was tall, hot, tough, full of delicious muscles, a nice butt, and OMG he was a geek! Like, a true, real geek! And he was proud of it! I loved every minute of his story when it focused on him. A soldier and a nerd! You can't be a hot-blooded woman and tell me, honestly, that a man with the brains AND the brawn doesn't make your panties go poof! I refuse to believe it!

Sadly, Piper didn't live up to my expectations the way her male counterpart did. After the badassery of Josie, the sweetness of Laney, and the sassiness of Audrey, and all the forgiveness and love and acceptance those three showed, despite having every reason not to, I expected a woman who would be just as awesome and wonderful as them. And I didn't get that. No, instead I got a freakishly smart female, with a very nice childhood prior to becoming an adult, who grew up to be a whiny little girl with daddy issues. That right there is proof enough that a happy childhood doesn't guarantee a clever, intuitive, accepting adult. Because compared to the other three female leads, who lead lives similar to hell on Earth and didn't get HALF the love Piper got from her mother, the female hacker sucked and big time at that.

I can't very well accept a woman who sees so many signs that the guy her father has condemned is as honest as they come, that the scum who sired her is a lying bastard (no, seriously, he was lying to her face, and, not even five minutes later, when she cornered him and proved he wasn't honest, he told her, straight up, that yes, ok, I was lying just now, and SHE STILL CHOSE TO TRUST HIM!!!), that her own mother is scared of said scum, and she still doesn't get the message: DANGER! GET OUT! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! PREFERABLY WITH THE HOT SMART GUY WHO KEEPS OFFERING TO RISK HIS LIFE TO PROTECT YOU!!!

Other than Piper the smart idiot, the rest of the book was just as perfect as I've come to expect from Mrs. Zanetti's work. It was fast-paced, full of so many surprises I kept screaming at my screen every few chapters, and she ended it in such a way, I wanted more, knew I shouldn't be selfish, and yet couldn't help it anyway. She's a master at leaving you hanging and begging for more, I've come to understand that fully now. The dialogues, the action, the twists and the plot - I'm in love with this series, have been from the beginning, and now it's officially in my go-to list for any time someone dares to ask me "Have any book series to recommend?".

This is not the last time I'll be picking a Zanetti book, either. I'm so not stopping here, in fact, I'm getting ready to read other series of hers, too. I'm sure she's not gonna disappoint!

“I love you, Jory Dean. The tough, the sweet, and definitely the geek.” – Piper Oliver

Total Surrender
4 Stars

Kept captive by the commander and plotting his escape, genetically engineered super soldier, Jory Dean, sees an opportunity in the young computer programmer assigned to deactivate the malfunctioning chip in his spine. Piper Oliver is well aware that the man in the cell is a
Show More
traitor, but the more time she spends with him, the more she realizes that something is not quite right and becomes determined to uncover the truth . . .

A well-executed end to the story arc begun in book #1 with some good twists and turns. Nevertheless, Jory and Piper’s romance is the weakest of the four.

Despite her intelligence or perhaps because of it, Piper comes across as incredibly naive and gullible. She accepts “facts” at face value without questioning actions and motivations. Jory is as hot and sexy as his brothers with an added sweetness to his nature that makes him particularly appealing.

Unfortunately, the attraction between them feels contrived and the sexual tension that would be expected given their circumstances is sorely missing. That said, Zanetti certainly knows how to steam up the pages, and the glimpses into the HEAs of the other Dean brothers adds a lovely extra touch to the story and provides a real sense of closure.

Although the plot is action packed and exciting, there are several elements that detract such as the inclusion of Brian’s character, which serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever, and the secondary romance between Piper’s mother and her neighbor.

All in all, the Sin Brothers is an entertaining series with a compelling premise and Zanetti has left sufficient room for a spin-off with the introduction of three additional “Dean” brothers and the open questions concerning the PROTECT organization and Dr. Madison. It will be interesting to see where she takes it.

This was a nice wrap-up to the series, although it often felt quite a bit more forced--in terms of story and character both--than the earlier books. So, while it was a satisfying conclusion from the standpoint of the series, albeit a predictable one, it was less satisfying as a book in and of
Show More
itself, feeling rushed and/or forced by turns, with some plot twists that stretched believability a bit more than usual. I'd recommend readers of the early books in the series follow through on it, but it's not her best.

I had a great time with this book! I have really enjoyed working my way through this series and have been really eager to read Jory's story and to find out how everything would work out for the Dean brothers. I would recommend reading this series in order if at all possible since some story arcs do
Show More
carry over from book to book. I thought that this was a wonderful conclusion to the series.

Jory hasn't seen his brothers in years. They have actually believed that he was dead and he did have a close call. Since that close call, he has been kept at the facility under lock and key. Piper has just recently met her father, the commander, and has taken a job with the organization that uses her skills. She is tasked with trying to get control of the chips embedded in each of the Dean brother's heads. These chips are set to kill the brothers in a very short time.

I liked Jory and Piper. They had fantastic chemistry together and had quite a bit in common. They seemed to understand each other right away and I liked that Piper took a chance and trusted Jory. In addition to focusing on the romance between Jory and Piper, this book also had a big focus on all four brothers and their mission to deactivate the chips and gain control of their lives. I really enjoyed seeing the brothers and their significant others working together to get the chance at a family that they have always wanted.

Karen White did a fantastic job with the narration. I loved all of the voices that she used and never had any difficulty distinguishing which character was speaking. I thought that she added a lot of excitement and emotion into the story. I wanted to listen to this book for hours at a time and feel like the narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this story to others. I really fell for the Dean brothers over the course of this series. Each installment featured a wonderful romance and I loved how strong the bond was between the brothers. I thought that this book wrapped the series up very nicely and I am looking forward to reading more of Rebecca Zanetti's work very soon.
