And how does David begin? By being robbed by highwaymen, while taking a public stage coach to London.
Vivian is a thief. She's on the same stage coach as David. Her role in the robberies is to pick and ride along, and to sell whatever jewelry is stolen. So when she tries to sell Davids ring that was stolen in a town where he knows all the pawn shops, she is discovered by David.
This book starts out with David being noticibly spoiled and Viv hating David. I really liked it because she was a thief and he was the shady bad boy brother. Sort of. Not really. Lol
