I had to read to sequel to " Splat the Cat"/. It was a great beginner reader and in my opinion the illustrations were the icing on the cake!

The pictures are comical and well-done! I think grownups will definitely get the visual humor. 4 Stars.

Splat the Cat is at it again with an adventure of helping a duck find its quack. The rhyming word scheme and easy to follow story line make this an excellent book for beginning readers or struggling readers. It's also a great introduction to learning more about animals around us or rhyming words.

I love the ORIGINAL Splat books. The books written by different people for the show...not so much. This is just such a book. Splat has a bicycle accident and rescues a duck who has lost his quack. He seeks help in getting it back. This book is set up as an easy reader, and in that aspect it works,

but it is not has good as the books by Scotton, but it will do, and some readers will find it funny.
