A humorous dog-on-the-town story, Farley Follows His Nose will appeal to fans of Lynn Johnston's For Better or For Worse comic-strip, as well as to young animal lovers. I myself am not a regular reader of said comic, and probably would not have picked this one up, had it not been reviewed in a recent issue of The Horn Book magazine. I'm glad, all things considered, that I did, as Farley makes a lovable and entertaining canine hero. With all the sound words, this one would be an excellent story-hour selection.
