This book was about the classic nursery rhyme Old Mother Hubbard. She goes to the pantry to get her dog a bone and spends the rest of the book buying him everything but his bone. While she is out shopping, her dog does all kinds of crazy things.

I would use this book with younger children to teach them colors. I could point to one of the many colors in the pictures and ask them to identify it. This book would also be a good book to use to teach young children how to rhyme words at the end of sentences.

well with the text. Although the pictures weren’t super detailed, they were wonderful to look at. They had all kinds of colors in them and they were funny. By the end of this book, I was smiling. This is a version of Old Mother Hubbard. It's a modern kid friendly version that stays away from some of the original rhymes that would be considered inappropriate to some parents for some children. The illustrations stand out the most. The colors are deep and rich on large pictures.
