This is a Fantasy story with talking animals, but as a reader you forget that they are animals and just start to think of them as normal children. This would be appropriate for the primary grades and I would use it on April first (because that is more exciting), and I would use it to show students
Show More
that they can overcome bully problems. Arthur is a round main character who is ready to stand up for him self, and he does.

Author has a problem with a bully at school. He is threatening to pulverize him. Through out the book author is nervous about this bully hurting him, until he comes up with a way to deal with his problems in a non violent and and funny way to celebrate April Fools day. It would be a good book to
Show More
show kids how to deal with their problems with out causing more issues and one way to deal with bullying issues through out their life in school.

I really enjoyed this book and think that a class full of students would as well. I would read this on the obvious day, April Fools to make the kids laugh, but also to teach them to be nice and not to do anything too extreme. All of the Arthur books are really great books to read to a younger

classroom, probably around first or second grade.

This book is very cute. It is Arthur wanting to do well at the April Fools assembly but there is a problem with a bully Binky. It gets scared of Binky and has to learn to overcome it and he does. He fools Binky in the end.

This book is about April Fool's jokes. Arthur is participating in a Magic show, and he is going to show off his magic tricks at the end of the week. Throughout the week, a big bully wouldn't leave Arthur alone. When it came time for the magic show, Arthur asked for a volunteer. The bully jumped up
Show More
on stage. He messed up Arthur's first two tricks. Then, Arthur had an idea. He got a saw, and told the audience that he was going to cut this boy in half for his next trick. The bully ran off stage, and never messed with Arthur again. This would be a great book to read on April Fools day. It would also be good for the students to read because the book is a fun read.

This is a classic book of Marc Brown’s Arthur collection that tells the story of Arthur and the school bully Binky Barnes. Arthur has huge plans for this year’s talent show, but he becomes frightened when Binky Barnes threatens to ruin it all. With the help of his friends, Arthur stands up to
Show More
his bully and pulls the best April Fools trick of all time.

This book holds a familiar face to many students in classrooms today. Arthur is not only well-known from the books, but also the tv show. This book would benefit students because it sends a message that they should stand up to bullies.

The seventh Arthur book. Another holiday themed book, and we're not done with those yet. Arthur must deal with a bully while preparing for the April Fool's assembly. He's very nervous, but in the end, he manages to play a trick or two on the bully. It's unfortunate that none of the adults around
Show More
Arthur, including those aware of the bullying, do anything to help, but I expect that's more truth in fiction than anything. Rather average book.
