Arthur's teacher's roof fell in one day when it was snowing outside, so he had to move in with Arthur's family until it was fixed. Arthur wanted to impress Mr. Ratburn so he watched educational videos and put books in his room and they actually got along and became good friends. When Arthur went to

Arthur's Teacher Moves In is a great book for children. It is a story about Arthur and his teacher. Arthur was relieved to be away from Mr. Ratburn and to finally watch tv. Arthur's Mom came over to tell him that Mr. Ratburn is staying for a couple days until his roof is fixed because the snow

caved it in. Arthur starts freaking out. He is redecorating his room with smarter books and posters. Mr. Ratburn is happy that Arthur let him stay with him. He changes his clothes to be casual, he watches shows that Arthur enjoys. The kids at school see that Arthur got an A on a test. They get mad and start calling him a teachers pet. This makes him angry because he is not a teachers pet. Mr. Ratburn walks by the lunch table telling him that he is not staying at his house anymore because he needs to be closer to the construction. He does say that he might be staying at Ferns, Binkys, Busters, Muffys, Francines... This makes all the students freak out while Arthur begins to laugh.

He said his parents did not understand. He didnt want his teacher in his house. Arthur went and got posters so his teacher would think he was smart because Mr. Ratburn was staying in his room. After getting used to his teacher being there they watched a movie and he taught Arthur a magic trck, It wasnt so bad after all. Arthur had a math test and he made an A on it. All his friends said he made an A because his teacher lives with him. All of his friends were mad and they didnt want to play with him. They called him teacher's pet. So he took the letter to his parents and Mr. Ratburn said he would talk to the class. Arthus didnt want that. The next day at school Mr. Ratburn told Arthur he wasnt staying with him anymore. He said he was staying with Francine..and the next week I will be staying with Binky and on and on.This was his way of teaching them a lesson.

Arthur's teacher has to stay with him because his roof collapsed. Arthur learns that teachers are different outside of school. Teachers are people, too; they have feelings and have fun. They aren't here to ruin students' lives (despite popular belief). Their lives, also, don't revolve around school

related/educational things. They enjoy cartoons and fun. The kids torture Arthur because he is a "teacher's pet." To solve the problem, Mr. Ratburn arranges to stay at another student's house so that they see what it's really like to live with a teacher. He does this to help them stop making fun of Arthur.

Arthur’s social life is briefly turn upside-down when his teacher has to stay with him. The story teaches children that their teachers are people too. We don't live in schools.

Arthur is not so happy about his teacher Mr.Ratburn coming to stay at his house. But soon Arthur learns that his tecaher is not so bad. I think this story is a fun read because most has a had a dream that their teacher showes up unannounced.
