Local notes
A "package film" anthology of seven short films set to popular music and folk music:
1. Once Upon a Wintertime (romance song played out on screen)
2. Bumble Boogie (swing-jazz variation of Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee)
3. The Legend of Johnny Appleseed (based on John Chapman's life)
4. Little Toot (based on Gramatky's book)
5. Trees (based on Kilmer's poem)
6. Blame It on the Samba (Donald Duck short starring José Carioca and the Aracuan Bird)
7. Pecos Bill (about the titular Texan cowboy hero adopted by coyotes)
Part of the Disney Classics Complete 55 Movie box set, but on DVD, not Blu-ray like the majority of the set. The disc also includes the animated shorts "Casey Bats Again" (a sequel to the "Casey at the Bat" segment from "Make Mine Music"), "Lambert the Sheepish Lion", and "Donald Applecore".

Library's review
Some of these cartoons -- in particular the excellent "Pecos Bill" -- are quite entertaining, and others have pleasant shades of "Fantasia". But others are frightfully dull, as is the live action narration segment preceding "Pecos Bill". And unlike some of the earlier package films Disney made,

1/4 (Bad).
I liked a couple of the cartoons, and elements of some others. But the good bits are short. It also features some of the all-time worst Disney cartoons I have ever seen.
