Oversized wooden box set, with a Hand of the King metal pin to use as a lock for the leather strap, rooming nine full-illustration layered slides (different images front and back) by Robert Ball (the artist behind the "Beautiful Death" series of illustrations for the series). One slide for each season, and a ninth for three bonus discs and an overview booklet. The bonus discs include the reunion special for the entire cast and crew hosted by Conan O'Brien, and the ten episode "Conquest & Rebellion: An Animated History of the Seven Kingdoms" animated series about the backstory of Westeros.

 first few, but the decline is rather slow and gradual in my opinion, and even at the end of the show, it was quite good compared to most ambitious television dramas -- just rather terrible compared to itself in its heyday. Still worth checking out if its even in the vicinity of your kind of thing, but be mentally prepared going in for a much weaker final few seasons.
