Local notes
This issue commences the search for Ray Palmer, who was last seen in the conclusion of "Identity Crisis".
The Riddler appears as a legitimate private investigator, after his reforming in "One Year Later".
The murder of Bart Allen (The Flash) occurred in The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #13.
This issue also includes "History of the Multiverse (Part VIII of XII)", where the Monitors look at the events leading up to and including the Infinite Crisis. First they follow the survivors of Earth-Two (Superman and Lois Lane), Earth-Prime (Superboy) and Earth-Three (Alexander Luthor) as they witness the New Earth universe growing increasingly dark, and then Luthor and Superboy's actions to bring about the crisis itself, and its resulting 52 universes.
