A great book about friendships. How to make them, how to keep them and what makes a good friend?

I would have loved this when I was a girl age 8-12. Lots of good advice and ideas, for making friends in the first place, for being a good friend, and for what to do together. Also helps if one of you has to move away, or if one of you turns out not to be a good friend.

the decorated pen (suggested as a gift for a minor occasion or a mood-brightener) myself, as I have embroidery floss and beads in my craft stash already.

There's a 'surprise cupcake' idea I want to consider trying. You need twice as many cupcake liners as cupcakes. On each extra liner, you write a message, like 'you're a great friend.' Then you fold it up, and place it in each regular liner, before adding the batter & baking. Does this make sense to you? I'm wondering if the ink will bleed, or if the folded up paper will even be salvageable... please comment with your thoughts about the feasibility of this idea....
